Beef Hoisin Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 800g beef strips (raw)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (30ml)
  • 4 peppers, sliced (≈600g)
  • 4 onions, sliced (≈400g)
  • 400g broccoli florets
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece ginger, grated (≈20g)
  • 6 tbsp hoisin sauce (90ml, ready-made)
  • 4 tbsp low-salt soy sauce (60ml)
  • 4 tsp sesame seeds (≈12g)

How to preprare

  1. Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a wok. Stir-fry beef for 3 minutes until browned, remove and set aside.
  2. Add remaining oil. Stir-fry peppers, onions, and broccoli for 4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cook 1 minute.
  3. Return beef to the pan. Add hoisin sauce and soy sauce, cook for 3 minutes until heated through and coated.
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

Note

Hoisin is sweet — use reduced-salt soy to balance.
