Chicken Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • 600g egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 800g chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 2 red peppers, sliced
  • 300g bean sprouts
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 thumb-sized ginger, grated
  • 9 tbsp low-salt soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

How to preprare

  1. Cook noodles, toss with 1 tbsp oil.
  2. Fry chicken 6–7 mins, remove.
  3. Stir-fry onion, carrot & peppers 4 mins.
  4. Add bean sprouts, garlic & ginger, fry 1 min.
  5. Return chicken & noodles, stir in sauces.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds.

Note

Works with prawns, beef, or pork too.
