Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1kg lean minced beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 carrots, diced
  • 4 celery sticks, diced
  • 2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp tomato purée
  • 400ml beef stock
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 600g spaghetti
  • Parmesan & basil for garnish

How to preprare

  1. Fry onion, garlic, carrot & celery 6 mins.
  2. Add beef, brown well.
  3. Add tomatoes, purée, stock & herbs. Simmer 35 mins.
  4. Cook spaghetti, drain, serve with sauce. Garnish.

Note

Use turkey mince instead of beef to save ~100 cals per portion.
