Spicebag Fakeaway

Ingredients

  • 130 g chicken breast, sliced into strips
  • 80 g red pepper, sliced
  • 60 g red onion, sliced
  • 250 g Maris Piper potatoes (cut into chips)
  • 20 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg white
  • 1–2 tsp McDonnells Spicebag seasoning (to taste)
  • 1 tsp olive oil

How to preprare

  1. Preheat air fryer to 180 °C.
  2. Coat chicken strips in egg white, then breadcrumbs. Air fry 12–15 mins, turning halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  3. Toss potato chips with half the oil and a pinch of spice mix. Air fry (or oven cook) 20–25 mins, shaking halfway, until crisp.
  4. In the last 5 minutes, add peppers and onions with the remaining oil and spice mix. Cook until slightly charred but still vibrant.
  5. Toss everything together with a final sprinkle of seasoning and serve hot.
  6. Optional: add curry sauce on the side for the full takeaway feel.

Note

Add curry sauce on the side (+~100 kcal) if you want it extra authentic.
